This is a clickable prototype for an app that I created during my internship at Tata Consultancy Services tackling the question-- how do we make fine art museums more accessible to the public? The DMA Art Heist takes visitors around the museum to interact with various pieces under the guise of conducting a large heist in the museum!
After conducting initial market research, I came up with an interview guide which covered various facets of museum interaction. I conducted user research through interviews with 11 individuals, primarily in the 18-30 age range.
Three personas resulted out of the 11 user interviews: (1) The Art Enthusiast loves to visit museums, visits frequently, and is highly knowledgable (2) The Passive Patron gets dragged along with friends and is highly uncertain about what she actually wants to see (3) The Traveler visits museums on vacation or special occasions and wants to see the biggest hits
Collaborative brainstorming sessions with a colleague led to expansion on potential structures and features for the application.
Various types of assets from the final prototype: (1, 2) DMA Galleries to choose from in the gallery selection menu (3) Potential profile icons (4) Main iconography for the DMA Art Heist app-- a play on Mark Di Suvero's Ave which is outside of the DMA!
